All-aluminum load-bearing structure manual lift pickup truck rooftop camper box

Release Date:

2022-07-25

Summary

To address the shortcomings of existing technologies, the inventors have developed an all‑aluminum load‑bearing structure. By locking the lower end of a tension rod into slots at various positions, the rod’s angle can be adjusted, enabling manual lifting of the pickup truck’s bed box and, consequently, varying the height of the box’s top frame. This allows the height of the box’s upper section to be tailored to specific needs.

A recreational vehicle (RV) combines the functions of both a home and a vehicle; it is essentially a mobile home, yet it remains classified as a motorized vehicle. It is a self‑propelled unit equipped with basic household amenities. An RV integrates “clothing, food, shelter, and transportation” into one, offering a practical solution that lets you “travel in life and live while traveling.” While RVs have made travel and camping more convenient and efficient, today’s models tend to be overly heavy and cumbersome.

For trailers and tractors, substantial power and load capacity are required, so they can only be used on standard road surfaces. Moreover, during actual operation, the ceiling height of manually lifted cargo compartments cannot be adjusted, resulting in limited versatility. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a fully aluminum load-bearing structure for manual lifting. Pickup truck with a rear cargo box , lightweight, highly torsion-resistant, offers ample space when raised or lowered, and features an adjustable roof height.

To achieve the aforementioned objectives, the pickup truck’s rear cargo box adopts the following technical solution: a fully aluminum load-bearing structure with manual lifting. Pickup truck with a rear cargo box , comprising a main body and manual lifting components. A top plate is fixed to the upper surface of the main body by welding or integral molding, with a rectangular opening in its center. The end of this opening nearest the vehicle’s front and rear is hinged to a clamping plate, which is divided by protrusions into multiple upward‑facing retaining slots. The manual lifting components are arranged in two sets, positioned at the ends of the top plate closest to the vehicle’s front and rear, respectively. Each set includes a frame, an upper panel, a lower panel, a support bracket, a pull rod, and a tarpaulin. Fixed plates are integrally formed at the ends of the top plate adjacent to the vehicle’s front and rear. The bottom of the lower panel is hinged on the inner side of these fixed plates via spring hinges, while the upper two-thirds of the lower panel are connected to the upper panel by strip‑type hinges. The upper panel is hinged to the frame, and the support bracket is secured to the side of the lower panel facing the interior compartment with screws. At the end of the support bracket nearest the upper panel, a pull rod is hinged; the other end of the pull rod engages within the retaining slots. The tent fabric is attached to the frame via pressed aluminum profiles, and the portion of the tent fabric between the frame and the top plate is likewise connected using pressed aluminum profiles. Ventilation holes are provided in the tent fabric between the frame and the top plate, organized into three layers: an insect‑proof mesh, a transparent film, and a light‑blocking curtain. Between the outer frame of the skeleton and the exterior wall of the main body, multiple auxiliary support assemblies are installed; each assembly consists of two sets of telescopic rods, with both ends of each rod hinged to the frame and the top plate, respectively.

In summary, the aforementioned all-aluminum load-bearing structure is manually liftable. Pickup truck with a rear cargo box Advantages: 1. By installing a clamping plate with multiple slots, the bottom end of the pull rod on the manual lifting assembly can be locked into these slots during operation, thereby securing the pull rod and stabilizing the height of the box‑top frame. Moreover, by engaging the pull rod’s base in slots at different positions, the angle of the pull rod—and thus the height of the box‑top frame—can be adjusted, allowing the room box to be tailored to specific requirements. 2. With the insect‑proof curtain assembly, when the window sash is opened, the curtain can close the window, preventing flying insects from entering the room enclosure while still ensuring ventilation. 3. The use of a pivot shaft and a winding spring enables automatic retraction of the insect‑proof curtain.
