Release Date:

2022-12-12

Summary

The pickup truck’s rear compartment features a booth that can comfortably seat two people for dining or leisure, with a modular table in the center. When disassembled, the table transforms into a partition and can accommodate a 35-liter vehicle-mounted refrigerator. In the new model, this space has been further optimized to serve as a single bed, allowing the interior to comfortably sleep up to three adults. Now, let’s take a closer look at the interior design of the pickup truck’s rear compartment.

The pickup’s rear cargo box features a booth seat that can comfortably accommodate two people for dining or playing as soon as you step inside, with a modular table in the middle. When disassembled, it transforms into a partition and can house a 35-liter vehicle-mounted refrigerator. In the new model, this space has been further optimized to become a single bed, allowing the vehicle to comfortably sleep three adults. Now, let’s take a closer look. Interior design of the pickup truck’s bed box

Interior design of the pickup truck’s bed:

  1. On the right side of the pickup’s bed, there is an externally mounted window; the interior curtain features a top‑and‑bottom roller‑blind design. Lowering it provides sun shading, while raising it transforms into a mosquito‑proof screen.

  2. On the side of the seat beneath the window is a control switch for the room’s cabinet power supply, which can operate onboard water pumps, exterior lighting, and other electrical appliances. The LCD screen on the left serves as a battery status indicator, displaying remaining current, temperature, and charging status. There are three charging methods: charging via the engine while the vehicle is in motion, charging during daylight hours using the rooftop solar panels, and connecting to the rear‑mounted generator port to recharge the battery.

  3. The rear of the panel houses a gel‑type battery, which can comfortably meet the energy needs of a full night’s illumination, ensuring hassle‑free charging for portable devices. The inverter supports 220V appliances, making it highly practical for use with small electric pressure cookers while traveling. If you plan to operate higher‑power devices at night, you can expand the system by adding a lithium‑ion battery pack to increase the overall capacity.

  4. Another table with a lid can be opened to access the reading room and is equipped with an LED reading light. When opened, it reveals a washbasin and storage space inside.

  5. Beneath the washbasin is a storage area for the water tank, but this layout is impractical: standard-sized tanks barely fit, and both the space and capacity are limited. The new‑home cabinet comes with a fixed water tank, offering a more rational use of space. At present, the tank in this room largely meets the electrical requirements, but there are significant challenges when it comes to water usage. In the future, we’re considering either modifying the tank ourselves or replacing it entirely with a new one.

  6. Open the seat cushion and seat cover—there’s a spacious storage compartment underneath, perfect for stowing outdoor tables and chairs.

  7. Pickup truck with a cargo bed The room’s floor is fitted with anchor rails on both sides, allowing luggage and gear to be secured with spring-loaded straps, preventing them from colliding inside the compartment during off-road driving.

  8. The pickup truck’s bed features a drawer-style bed base at the top: during the day, it slides forward to maximize space in the living area, and at night, it can be pulled back to create a larger sleeping surface.

  9. The bed in the extended cargo box of the pickup truck measures 1.65 x 1.92 meters, with a comfortable mattress that easily accommodates two adults for a restful night’s sleep.

  10. The soft-sided perimeter is equipped with four windows, each featuring a three-layer structure: an outer mosquito-proof screen, a middle layer of translucent waterproof fabric, and an inner sunshade layer that can be applied as needed. In winter, an additional insulating layer can be added to the interior of the side walls, and installing a wood-burning stove will also help you comfortably camp during colder months. 11. The roof is equipped with a bidirectional ventilation fan and two auxiliary charging outlets, allowing you to charge your phone while lying in bed. During outdoor overnight stays, the ventilation fan can generally meet cooling needs; later, installing a parking air conditioner will further reduce the interior temperature of the compartment.

  12. A smoke detector is installed in the upper part of the compartment, and a carbon monoxide detector is mounted on the wall near the floor. In the event of smoke or a liquefied petroleum gas leak inside the vehicle, these alarms will promptly detect the situation, ensuring occupant safety.

  13. Overall, Pickup truck with a cargo bed The cabin cabinet poses no problem at all for living during off‑road adventures, and the overall camping experience is quite comfortable. During the day, the vehicle’s movement and the roof‑mounted solar panels generate enough power to keep the onboard batteries topped up, easily meeting everyday energy needs. On water, however, there isn’t much room for a large freshwater tank, so we had to make do with a 25‑liter plastic container—hardly ideal. This setup was improved later on. As for interior temperature, the ventilation fan currently suffices, but in winter you’ll definitely want to add a wood‑burning stove. Ultimately, the trailer will require some post‑purchase modifications tailored to your specific needs; the art and enjoyment of customizing it are every bit as rewarding as tuning a car.
